3RVX provides an on-screen display (OSD) for Windows systems. It supports skinnable volume and eject OSDs as well as a range of hotkey controls, tray notifications, and other cool features. 3RVX is open source software (available on Github) and is under active development, so feel free to participate in filing bugs, adding new features, or contributing skins!

Here are the recommended VirtIO drivers v0.1.173-9 for Windows 7 as a VM under ProxMox.  These are the most stable drivers, including working memory ballooning.  They are also the last version of the signed virtio scsi driver, which you need if you are doing a fresh install using the vioscsi for the hard drive.  See the long description for links to forum posts with additional information.

When installing Windows 7 on ProxMox, there is a device that won't accept the VirtIO Serial drivers (vioserial folder) until this update to Windows is applied.  See the detailed description for links to forum threads that explain the situation and how to install the update from the .cab file that is in this archive.  Also links to get this file right from Microsoft, but I'm guessing the Microsoft links won't be valid much longer, that is why I'm posting this here.  Updates in this archive are for both x64 & x86.
